Standing out in a crowd and wearing cutting edge fashion are testaments to confidence and declarations of independent thought. These are the principles that drive Spratters & Jayne. In fact, they were what led to the company's creation in the first place.

In keeping with her North Dakota farming roots, when Rachael Warner couldn't find what she sought in the marketplace, she made it herself. What started as a simple personal action spread. Soon family and friends were requesting the handmade scarves, wraps and cowls. When a passer by offered to buy one off her person, it was clear the designs had traction with a wider audience. Rachael founded Spratters & Jayne a few months later in 2008. Every Spratters & Jayne garment is individually knitted or crocheted by hand from the finest quality, ultra-soft Peruvian Highland wools, custom dyed and blended to our specifications.

Each piece is produced in cooperation with Peruvian and Bolivian collectives whose members continue the rich, time honored craft of South American Fiber Arts. Our designs take inspiration from sources as diverse as the American Arts and Crafts movement to the vibrant world of contemporary music.

Rachael has designed custom scarves for such celebrities as Madonna, Cher and Stevie Nicks.
