Brownstoner: Proximity Tops Port Imperial’s Luxury Amenity List
Stretching two miles along the Hudson River waterfront, the vibrant Port Imperial is both a destination and way of life. There’s no doubt now the secret is out: New Jersey’s Gold Coast is a sparkling alternative to New York City living, bewitching residents with convenience, amenities, and postcard-perfect views of Manhattan and the Hudson River. Jersey City and Hoboken often steal the spotlight, but just a few miles north, Port Imperial is positioned to assume its place as a premier destination where the day-to-day is a symphony of waterfront beauty and proximity.
Port Imperial is where New Yorkers come to play — and stay
Just a short ferry ride from New York City sits a community that’s taking more and more Manhattanites to a new coastline. Port Imperial — stretching for two miles along the New Jersey Gold Coast through Weehawken, West New York, and Guttenberg — was once envisioned as “Venice on the Hudson.” And with luxurious dining, hospitality, and views of the Manhattan skyline, it’s living up to the name. Here’s all that you can experience in Port Imperial.
Port Imperial: The jewel of the Gold Coast
Whether you are one of the many people affected by the pending L train shutdown or another straphanger waiting for a delayed Queens-bound A train for your commute home, one thing seems clear: getting around New York City has seldom seemed worse.
The Listings: A Stone’s Throw
This month, we’ve rounded up five drop-dead handsome homes just a hop, skip and a jaunt away from the city lights. Because, let’s face it, we’re not getting any younger and we’ve just about had it with these meddling kids and the loud noises they make.
Hoboken’s House of Que’ is Coming to Weehawken
House of Que’, which opened in 2015 across from Pier C Park, is opening a second location just three miles upriver at 500 Avenue at Port Imperial. The space, located opposite the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal, is within the same brand new complex as the upcoming Residence Inn by Marriott and Renaissance hotels. House of Que’ will occupy the northeastern portion of the ground floor, according to a listing from Ripco Real Estate, and will join Sotheby’s Prominent Properties, Exchange Physical Therapy Group, spa810, Dunkin’ Donuts, and the Avora office.
